postauthoriconWritten by Cilius Victor | Print | E-mail

Home Office admits to major error but decide to proceed as planned

The Home Office in a ministerial statment laid by Nick Herbert in the House of Commons and Baroness Neville-Jones in the House of Lords on 20 January 2011 in response to submisisons from the Legislative Reform Order (LRO) consultation stated that the process will continue as planned.  The decision is made worse in that the Home Office have sheepishly admitted to making a complete hash of understanding the law in this matter have simply decided its; easier to proceed as if the law did not exist.
