What to do now
Get ready to visit the Royal Courts of Justice
Of course the formal planning application process has long closed, however, we do have a judicial review of a decision to circumvent the long standing legal protection of Wanstead Flats, see our 'latest news' for more information.

How do I make an objection to the planning application?
On Thursday 24 February 2011 Redbridge Council decided to approval the use of Wanstead Flats by the Metropolitian Police as a site to base security and policing operations for the Olympic games. Obviously this is a great disappointment and will have serious implicatons for the future. SWF will be reviewing what other steps we might take to protect Wanstead Flats from the abuses Redbridge Council and the City of London have effectively condoned.
If you still wish to raise your objections to this recent decision, please do so and also raise those objections direclty with your local councillor and MP. Your MP still has to approve changing the Epping Forest Act.
